June 2019 club meeting
20 June 2019
On the agenda…
Tom Putt
He then introduced our guest speaker of the evening, Tom Putt, a fine art landscape photographer based on the Mornington Peninsula. Tom first started photographing at age 13, and pursued a career in sports photography before turning to landscape photography.
Tom has a gallery on the Mornington Peninsula and runs regular photography workshops in some of the most stunning locations in the world. Tom took us on a tour of some of his recent workshop locations, the amazing frozen landscape of Lake Baikal in Russia, Namibia,
aerial photography over Lake Eyre and Shark Bay.
Tom’s enthusiasm for finding new places, and new ways of photographing popular locations, was evident. His humour and story telling made it a very enjoyable and informative evening.
Tom’s work can be viewed on his website. Thanks Tom – we can’t wait to hear you speak again next June!
