March 2019 – Black and White Theme
A Challenge in which to think about tonality, form, shape, texture and composition.
This takes the element of colour out of the equation, and gets us looking at things in a more stripped back manner. “Thinking” in B&W can often help our colour images improve once we recognise tonality as an important part of colour theory.
Thus, the aim is to come up with a striking B&W image, rather than just converting a “nice” image from colour.
