November’s challenge is architecture. Prizes will be awarded to the top three prints each meeting.
The Hobart Photographic Society (HPS) is based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
Established in 1968, HPS is open to amateur and professional photographers alike.
Being a member provides you with opportunities to grow your photography skills and socialise with fellow members. There are a number of other benefits to being a member of Tasmania’s leading photographic club.
The Club conducts monthly meetings – 7.30 pm on the third Thursday of each month (excluding December which is the 2nd Thursday). If you are interested in becoming a member you are welcome to attend one of our meetings.
Meetings will now be held at the Lindisfarne Sailing Club, Ford Parade, Lindisfarne.
The Club conducts member only excursions from time to time. Details relating to the excursions are posted on the Club’s Facebook site under the heading “excursions” and in “What’s On” within this website.
The Club conducts monthly digital and print challenges.
The Digital Challenges include an open challenge as well as a theme set for each month, with images and results presented at each Club meeting.
The Print Challenges have a set theme each month, and the winning images are voted on by attendees at each Club meeting.
