What’s On This Month?

Next meeting:

Hobart Photographic Society meets next on Thursday 15th June 2023 at 7.30pm. The digital photo challenges for next month are the theme of “Moon” and “Open”.  The print challenge them is “Open.  For more info see Club Meetings


Next excursion:

Hobart Photographic Society excursion is on Sunday 21st May 2023 between 10.30am and  ~12.30pm. 

This month the excursion is to Mt Wellington – Fern Glade Track. We will meet at the Fern Tree Tavern at 10.30 and then head off to search for some fungi. Equipment to bring – a tripod, macro lens if you have one and sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Catching up for a coffee at the tavern after the excursion.

The club conducts monthly meetings – 7.30 pm on the third Thursday of each month (excluding December which is the 2nd Thursday).  If you are interested in becoming a member you are welcome to attend one of our meetings.

Meetings will now be held at the GA Woods Hall located behind the Scots Memorial Church, 29 Bathurst Street, Hobart.

The club conducts monthly print and digital challenges.

The Print Challenges have a set theme or open theme, and the winning images are voted on by attendees at each monthly meeting.

The Digital Challenges include an open cha llenge as well as a set theme challenge, with images and results presented at each monthly meeting.
