Government House excursion

16 February 2019

On a lovely sunny Saturday in February, a 30-strong group of HPS club members took advantage of a rare opportunity to visit Government House in a relatively small group.

For almost 3 hours we had access to the stately ‘public’ reception rooms inside the house, as well as free access to wander the gardens at will. For some it was the first visit to the beautiful building, while for others it was a return visit with the added opportunity to use a tripod and loiter at our own pace.

All in all it was yet another great club excursion… the relaxed atmosphere gave us all the chance to wander and chat, while capturing beautiful images of a true piece of Tasmanian history. Many thanks to Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, and her staff, for making the visit a reality.
